All of the Bible points to Lord Jesus Christ and every Word of it came from the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We do not have the natural ability to understand it. Unless Jesus opens our eyes, we cannot recognize Him in the Scriptures and unless He opens our minds, we cannot understand it. The veil of our eyes must be torn, to see things how God wants us to see.
Like Psalmist David, may this also be our prayer, for God to open our spiritual eyes, so that, as we meditate on the Word of God, we might understand the wonderful spiritual truths from the Bible. May we desire, cherish and treasure the Word of God in our hearts, that it sanctifies us in truth, transforms us, and helps us to walk in the direction of God’s purpose in our lives.
