If anyone is willing to serve Christ where Christ is the master who instructs and appoints them their work, they ought to follow Him too. Following the Lord is to exercise the grace of love, humility, patience, self-denial, and dying to oneself, walking as he walked. Christ is the employer and those who serve Him are the employees. Our life would bring much more glory to Him when we follow Him while serving. May the Lord guide us through our service.
