The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Christ bore our sins on the cross!

All we like sheep have gone astray;… and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.   Isaiah 53:6
Sheep are prone to wandering and easily get lost. They are scared of something they sensed. An individual wandered off and the herd follows. They do not walk straight and they need and follow leaders. They require strong guidance, direction and supervision, without it, they are lost.
We are no better than sheep and Christ is our good shepherd. He knows us completely, owns us and never abandons us, guards and keeps us forever, called us and brought us to himself and gave himself for us. He knew that we are laid down with sin and wickedness within. Therefore our iniquity was laid on Him. He bore himself on the cross and freed us from our sins. Indeed He is our good shephard.
