O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure. – Ps. 6:1
David pleads before the LORD for the forgiveness of his sins and not to rebuke him in His anger. Many times, we also think that God has chastened us when fear surrounds us due to lack of faith.
God’s chastening is not of His displeasure but because of His love and He wants to correct us to transform us into the image of Christ. Our LORD is faithful God and He will not show anger towards His children when we believe in his sovereignty!
