The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

You are my God

I trust in You, O LORD; I say “You are my God.” My times are in your hand; Psalms 31:14-15

David repeatedly recites the goodness of the Lord towards himself and rejoices in His loving kindness. He records many times that the Lord has seen and responded to the accusations, afflictions and troubles that came his way and praises the Lord. Despite the long list of adversaries that sought his destruction and the conspiracies that were plotted against him, David declared that “I trust in You, O Lord'' and “You are my God.'

Many times we are so dependent on the world that only in times of emergency we think of going to the Lord after all other resources fail. We often treat prayer as the last resort of help when nothing else seems to work. Our God should be the first person we turn to not our last resort because our times are in His hand. Sometimes we worry many things but then our faith steps forward to remind us that this is not for us to be concerned about because our lives are held in His loving hands.
