And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him – Colossians 3:17
There are many good people in the world with good motives who try to help the underprivileged people. They do lot of charity work, but they don’t give the credit to God. They believe that their good deeds will save them (take them to heaven).
Scripture clearly says that we are not saved by good works, but we are saved by faith in Lord Jesus Christ. Anything that we do without God being the epicenter, it is meaningless or useless. Scripture says, In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Unlike the worldly people, we as believers need to do everything in the name of the Lord, be it charity or any other help. It is written – So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Prayer: Father God, help us to acknowledge you in all our ways and keep you the epicenter of our life. In Jesus name I pray – Amen !!!
