Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him – Ps 34:8
David praised God and he encouraged others by his personal experience. The psalmist was a common man and was least among his family members. It is that unusual favor of God which elevated a shepherd boy to king of Israel.
Sometimes people believe in promises given by others in power/authority. Most of the time those people will not be able to keep up their promises. We have seen many who had put their faith in people but failed miserably. Scripture says, put not your trust in princes, in mortal man, who cannot save – Psalms 146:3
People of God, if you are trusting on your skills, friends, wealth, knowledge, power, relatives etc. you will fail miserably. Put your trust only on God. He will lift you at the right time. Unusual favor comes from the Lord. It is written, And Esther found favor in the eyes of everyone who saw her – Esther 2:15.
Prayer: Father God, help us not trust in princes or mortal man but to trust you and your word. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
