The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Hear…Know…Follow

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:27

When we visited a home, we were holding a newborn baby, and she was crying aloud. We tried to comfort her with words and actions, but she did not stop crying. As soon as the baby heard the mother’s voice and took her in the lap, the baby immediately stopped crying. Baby knew the mother’s voice and felt safe and comfortable in her lap.

John 10 says, Jesus Christ is our good Shephard, and the good Shephard gives His life for the sheep. He is not a hireling, who does not own the sheep, and runs away when a wolf comes. He gives eternal life, we shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch us out of His hand (v. 28).

When the Shephard speaks (Rhema – spoken word and Logos – written word), we hear and follow Him because we belong to Him. But sometimes, due to many other priorities and gadgets in our life, we don’t hear the voice of our Shephard. If we are not hearing His voice, let us self-examine and pay attention to the voice of our Lord, for He speaks the words of eternal life!
