Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights… James 1:17
During Christmas time, everyone expects gifts, especially kids. Small kids have a myth that Santa gives gifts and that he is real. But one thing is true, and certain that gifts come from Heaven, from God the Father? God does not limit His gifts to just December but throughout the year. Earthly gifts may have defects and may not be perfect to our taste, but the Heavenly gift is always good and perfect without a defect. The best gift that God has given is Jesus Christ, who brought the riches of grace, abundant love, joy, and peace. Just give your heart to receive Jesus. If we look around us, our family, parents, friends, and many other things are given by our Heavenly Father.
Christmas is a season of exchanging gifts. Some people only give a gift when others give. But, Bible says that giving is more blessed than to receive (Acts 20:35), and God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7). During this time, you may give many gifts, but the best gift you can give others is to tell the Gospel to others. Freely you have received; freely give. (Matt. 5:8)
While we praise for the good and perfect gifts in our lives, as God loves cheerful giver, let us always be ready to give 3 T’s (Time, Talent, and Treasure). God will richly bless you.
