The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

One day at a time

Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? (Exo 15:11)

“One day at a time” – this is the lesson taught by God to all Israelites during the wilderness. Putting “trust” in God is the main lesson here. Israelites witnessed ten plagues, but plagues did not touch them. Before crossing the Red Sea, Egyptian soldiers attacked them. In the front, “Red Sea”, in the back, “Egyptians”, in the middle, “Israelites.” In a miraculous way, God parted the Red Sea, Israelites crossed, but the Egyptians drowned.

Moses sang the song “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods?” (Exo 15:11).

“One day at a time” is the strategy of God. Daily, God sent the Manna (bread for breakfast), and evening, God sent Quails (meat for dinner). God fed 600,000 men (up to 2.5 million Israelites). Every day God taught lessons, and every day, God has shown miracles throughout the journey of Wilderness. Finally God gave the promised land.

One day at a time. Let us continue to depend upon God for our daily needs, and let us put our anxiety about tomorrow in God’s hands. As Moses sang, we will also be able to sing, “Who is like you, O Lord….”

“*Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.*” (Mat 6:34)
