Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Rom 15:13)
In a village, there was a potter who created beautiful vessels. After making it, the first vessel was sold to a person who kept the vessel in his home rack without using it. The second vessel was sold to a florist. He fills the vessel with flowers, and the value increases a bit. The third one was sold to a Gold shop owner, he filled the gold and diamonds in the vessel, and the value of the vessel increased a lot because of the Gold and diamonds.
Bible tells us that God is our Potter and we are the clay (Isa 64:8). God makes each and every individual with special care (Psa. 139:14), and we are the vessel. Today’s verse talks about how to fill each of our empty vessels. Just by believing, God has filled us with the gift of salvation and the gift of the Holy Spirit. The God of hope can fill us with joy and peace by believing. Just by believing, we can abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. In the last few hours of 2022, let us empty the bad stuff from our vessels by confessing and filling them with His riches from above so that we become precious in God’s sight (Isa. 43:4).
