Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth…Serve the LORD. Josh. 24:14
Joshua reminded Israelites of God’s continuous blessings during their wilderness wanderings despite murmurings and unbelief. Joshua also recalled numerous times that God delivered them from the hands of the enemies.
As believers, we have been saved from the bondage of sin and blessed with every spiritual blessing. He has rescued us from the darkness and brought us into the kingdom of God.
The urgent call that Joshua gave to the people of Israel is the same call that is needed for every Christian. The real test of our faithfulness to God is to continue steadfastly in one course of conduct and a deep commitment.
We need to submit our body, mind and soul to trust in the Lord and desire to walk in spirit and truth for the rest of our life. Let us be determined that we and our household will serve the Lord in reverence and fear Him.
