The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Trust in God at All times

He only is my rock and my salvation;He is my defense;
I shall not be moved Ps 62:6

If we read psalms 62nd chapter from verses 1-6, we will understand psalmist condition here, he is deeply in struggles, his circumstances. He is overwhelmed, yet as the world comes down on him hard and fast. From (vs 1-2) from struggle to silence (vs 3-5), to sureness and security (vs 6-8). As soon as moment of silence is over, what are the words spoken? He did not spew out bitterness and hurt upon those who sought to hurt him and destroy his reputation.
No, but they speak of confidence and strength in God, not the disappointment of Man. He boldly declares that God is my guarding Rock. here David speaks from his heart. David is coming out of this time of silence, waiting upon God, with absolute confidence that God is his encircling guard.
In David’s moment of silence he learned that the I AM that I AM, is EL-Shaddai, his strong tower, his safety. he has decided he will not be shaken because he will depend on purpose make God’s word and God’s promises are his stronghold. As we all go through challenges in life, sometimes everything comes down on us at same time, we run here and there looking for answers, help and protection. We can learn from David’s silence that moment of prayer that he had with God changed the situation. ‘Trust in God at ALL times, pour out your heart. In God’s presence is your strong refuge.
