Oh, bless our God, you peoples and make the voice of His praise to be heard. Psalm 66:8
The Psalmist is exhorting to bless the Lord and sing praises to Him:
– For His awesome works and miracles(v.5)
– For the greatness of His power(v.7)
– For keeping our soul among the living(v.9)
– For keeping our feet from stumbling(v.9)
– For testing and purifying us(v.10)
– For not turning away our prayers(v.20)
There’s a song named “I’m so blessed”, which contains this line – “On my best day, I’m a child of God, on my worst day, I’m a child of God. Everyday is a good day – You’re the reason why! I’m so blessed, hallelujah I’m blessed!”
If you’re still looking for a reason to bless God, then here it is…we can bless Him simply because He calls us His children and we’re privileged in every way, regardless of what the world says.
