Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” – Isaiah 6:8
Prophet Isaiah saw a vision in which the Lord was seated on a lofty throne. Seraphim’s(Angels) were worshipping the Almighty God and saying, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts”. When Isaiah had a revelation of God’s holiness and His Glory, he immediately confessed that he is a sinful man with unclean lips. Soon followed a burning coal experience of cleansing for his sins to be purged.
After being cleansed, he heard the call of the Lord saying, “whom shall I send and who will go for us?” Without even knowing where to go and what the assignment is, Isaiah responded immediately, “Here am I! Send me.” He was given a complex assignment to preach a tough message to the people of Israel!
Cleansing precedes calling!
1. Are we willing to go through the fiery cleansing process before we serve Him?
2. Are we available to serve Him no matter the cost and say, “Here I am Lord, send me”, when we hear the call of God?
