The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

In God We Trust

I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Psalm 91:2

Psalm 91 was the most searched Psalm during the Pandemic. It is an amazing Psalm promising God’s Protection. V1. says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Tabernacle is divided into 3 parts, Outer courts, Inner Court, and the Most Holy place. The secret place in v1 represents the Most Holy place of the Tabernacle where the Most High God dwells, to abide under the shadow of Almighty we need to hold on to Him. In the old testament, only the High Priest had access to go into the Most Holy place once a year, things have changed with the ultimate sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, He gave access to enter into God’s presence i.e the Most Holy place even for a common man when we trust Him. If we want God to be our refuge and fortress, we first need to dwell in His secret place and trust Him no matter what. In Hebrew, Refuge refers to a shelter from storms and dangers from small-scale attacks and Fortress refers to a castle or stronghold, a place of defense and protection against large-scale attacks.

Once a Sunday school teacher asked 3 children what does it mean to trust God? Here are the responses
Child A – Holding God
Child B – Keep on holding God
Child C – Never leaving God

What is your response today? What do you say of the LORD?
