Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you – 2 Cor. 13:11
Here Paul is admonishing the church of Corinthians to remain in harmony and to abound in every good work.
How the church should not be – We read in Matthew’s gospel that the people have made the Synagogue like marketplace. People were indulged in business – buying and selling goods. The primary purpose was lost. They made the house of the Lord a den of thieves.
How the church should be – It should be a place where people can get their life puzzles answered. Place of deliverance from the bondage of sin. It should be a house of prayer – Praying for one another and be of comfort for the fellow brethren and should progress in every good work that God has purposed.
When there is harmony and oneness the Holy Spirit will be poured as mentioned in Acts 2.
Prayer: Father God give us the spirit of oneness. Help us to live in harmony with everyone and carry out your perfect will in our lives. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
