The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Anxiety vs Prayer

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer… with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Phil. 4:6

We often get anxious for various reasons, maybe for situations at home, work, school, or health or when we hear some scary news or maybe the fear of tomorrow. Whatever may be the reason, Paul instructs us not to be anxious. It’s a command, it’s not optional. Being anxious is being disobedient to God. It displays lack of faith and confidence in the power of God and even means failing to trust in the Almighty God.

When we start to get anxious, instead of worrying, Paul exhorts us to Pray about everything. Praying is taking everything to the Lord in confidence, trusting in His power by faith, worshipping Him with a true and thankful heart, and relying on Him for who He is and what He is able to do.

God might or might not take away those anxious situations in life, but gives us peace while storming through them. He knows our every need and is a God who is in control.
