The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, and he who begets a wise child will delight in him. Proverbs 23:24
King Solomon emphasizes the joy felt by parents when their children act with good sense and integrity. Scripture encourages parents to raise children with wisdom and discipline, while recognizing that children must make their own decisions. The Bible also compares the relationship between God and man to that of a father and sons. To be seen as righteous in God’s sight requires trust in Christ as Savior.
God sees the born-again believer as righteous in Christ, and He imparts righteousness to the believer. This also means Christ imparts within us the capacity to lead a righteous life.
Being righteous and wise also pleases the God of heaven, our Creator, for that is His commandment for our life . We must choose to be righteous and wise to please our father on earth and our God in heaven. Do not think you can neglect either, for He is just and righteous to punish all iniquity.
