The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul – Psa. 121:7
This verse acknowledges the Lord’s marvelous care of His people. God continually in His word calls us to trust Him. When we examine how weak we are in ourselves, we understand how easily evil will destroy us if we live apart from a relationship with God. A “keeper” is someone who guards, watches, protects, or guides someone. It is the Lord who preserves us and He will protect every area of our lives.
When we come before the Lord in prayer and surrender all things by trusting His word, we enable His mighty hand to move in unseen ways that protects us from threats that we cannot see. God will guard us each day and He will protect us throughout eternity.
