God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16
Where God is, His love is. We must first know the love of God before we can believe in the love of God. When we experience the love of God, we know how to love others.
The person who abides in love will also abide in God. In other words, love for God and others is the way to remain growing in the Lord. Those who do so have God abiding in them.
We cannot fellowship with God if we maintain maliciousness toward one another. Showing Godly love is a powerful sign that we are in fellowship with God.
