He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, but he who refuses correction goes astray. Prov. 10:17
Instructions and corrections can come to us in different ways. God speaks to us through His Word, directly to us, or uses other people to speak to us.
God provides His instructions to examine our hearts and attitudes to set ourselves right. If we cannot accept correcting ourselves, we lack God’s wisdom and will end up bringing destruction to ourselves and wrong doings. If we could accept the ordinances from God and walk in humility, we would save our lives.
The wise in heart accepts God’s commandments, but a fool disregards the transforming truths. We need to humble ourselves, and begin to ask God for wisdom and seek knowledge and understanding. This is a good starting point to put ourselves on the path to life!
