The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

My refuge is in God

“ ….. my refuge is in God” Psalms 62:7

King David was blessed in the very early stages of his life. He was a faithful and brave shepherd to his father’s flock. To everyone’s surprise though being youngest he stroke Goliath by God’s mighty and outstretched arm. Unimaginably he was anointed as the next king of Israel. He was called “Man after my own heart” by God.
Nevertheless, he became a prey to the jealousy of King Saul and many others. He was battered with fear, anxiety, several times was homeless, chased by the enemy and the wild animals flew to foreign nations.
Yet One thing that kept him as a great edification to the body of Christ is that he found refuge and strength in the Lord. He directed his fears to God and ultimately God was his safe place. Therefore he successfully escaped the enemies traps and triumphantly lead Israel for several years with good reputation.
Dearly beloved, is the burden of sin weighing you down this morning? Peacelessness, hopelessness is haunting you? Then there is a good news that Jesus is ready to weigh down your sinful life and give you a joyful and peaceful life.
Dear believer, what are the fears, anxieties, troubles, and burdens you are bearing today? Do they seem never-ending? Lay them at the feet of Jesus and find refuge in Him. He will safely and securely bring you out and you shall witness it.  Rejoice in our Refuge. Our God.
Have a blessed day.
