Thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee. Deut 15:6
God promised Israelites that their obedience to God and his commandments would ensure prosperity and blessedness above all nations and will rule over them. The condition was that the seventh year should be the LORD’s release to cancel the debts of the poor. God made them rich, so they would be generous to the poor.
The way for prosperity is generosity combined with obedience to God.
God in His generosity has cancelled our sin debt and gave an opportunity for us to be rich in Salvation.
Being blessed with so rich Salvation, let us be generous in cancelling the sin account we have against others.
Lord, give us obedience in our hearts today to forgive others as you have forgiven us so that we might claim God’s blessings through today’s promise in our lives. In Jesus name. Amen!
