Though Salvation is ours, but it is the work of God, and there’s a purpose for it. God’s glory and fulfilment of His will is of primary importance and He uses us to accomplish these things.
God working in us is the cause, and we, working for Him is the effect.
God puts the desire in us, empowers, enables, encourages and influences us to carry out His purposes. But, it needs our utmost obedience, diligence, submission and responsibility to His calling to actually fulfil His sovereign will.
And this cannot be achieved by mere human effort but by completely depending on His grace in our thoughts, actions and deeds.
Lord, though we are inadequate, thank you for choosing us, to do your work. We look to you for our strength, that we may joyfully and confidently do your will. Amen!
