… rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Luke 10:20
Jesus sent out seventy disciples to share the gospel to the unreached. They performed mighty miracles in His name and started rejoicing. Jesus warned them not to rejoice in that, but rather rejoice in the fact that their names are written in heaven. We are also being reminded not to boast about our ministry for God, since whatever we do is for His glory alone. Instead, we should rejoice as our names are written in heaven. We are not saved by our works, but by His grace alone. The greatest miracle is still the salvation of the lost soul. Jesus doesn’t want anyone to perish. Therefore, we are commissioned to share the Gospel to every perishing soul!
Prayer – Gracious Father, thank you for saving us and writing our names in the Book of Life. Give us courage and boldness to share the gospel. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
