Jehovah Sabaoth

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalm 46:7 ​

Jehovah Sabaoth – The Lord of the Armies, the Almighty GOD is always with us. What a privilege!! Psalm 46 starts by giving us confidence in GOD’s protection – GOD is our refuge and strength, our very present help in trouble. He has also promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
GOD of Jacob: Even though Jacob’s name was changed to Israel, the Psalmist mentions that he is the GOD of Jacob to highlight the truth that His grace is available to any wretched sinner in this world. When we repent of our sins and accept him as our Lord and Savior, Jesus will be our refuge in the storms of life! ​

Prayer: Almighty GOD, thank you for giving us the confidence that you are always with us and you are our refuge. Thank you for accepting us just the way we are. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
