But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Jude 1:20
This verse in NLT reads like this – “we must build each other up in the most holy faith”. God has called us to be builders along with Him but not breakers(as in v 3 – 19). Rom 8:26,27 gives us what “Praying in the Holy Ghost “ is. Most of the time we pray for things that we are not sure of. We do not know the best solution for our problems and ask God to solve it in the manner that we think is correct. We tend to pray for vengeance, our earthly pleasures, comfort and selfish desires.
1 Jn 5:14-15 says, if we pray according to HIS will, he hears us. It is only through the Holy Spirit that we can pray according to HIS will, as the Holy Spirit knows HIS will. Do our prayers have a lot of words without a heart for others or few SPIRIT led words with a lot of concern and burden for the church?
