And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
1 John. 1:4
From v 1 – 3 John mentions the intimacy which the disciples had with Jesus and lays the authentication of the following verses.
V 4 says our Joy will be full, because of the following verses.
In V 5 he mentions the message and declares it saying “GOD IS LIGHT”. Genesis 1:3, the first words that God spoke are – “Let there be light”. See the beauty of the synchronization that we see in the scriptures!!
The moment light comes in darkness has to go out. In a sinner’s life which is dark, the most important and the necessary entity is light and he can have that light only when the LIGHT HIMSELF enters in. Once he is in the light, he can see his true condition and go to the LORD for his cleansing.
If we walk in the light, we have fellowship one with another. This is the proof of we being in the light. Today, we have so many differences in our own families, immediate families, at work and even in the church. And if we proclaim that we are walking in the light, are we not liars? Or are we making HIM a liar (v 10)?
May we ask the Lord to forgive us and find a way to reconcile with the people around us so that we truly walk in the light as He is in the light and by doing so our Joy may be full.
