When the Lord is with me who can be against me
2 King 6:20.
“As soon as they entered Samaria, Elisha said, "O Lord, open the eyes of these men, which they may see." So the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw, and behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.”
To understand today’s verse, we must read the passage starting from verse 8. This passage leads us with three things; having faith, staying firm and asking Lord for the wisdom to take corrective actions in the midst of the daily battles we face. In today’s passage, we see that Elisha brought some captives who get blinded and willfully submitted themselves into his captivity. The army of the king of Aram was great in numbers, but nothing is higher than our Lord. He has delivered His people and provided them the victory where they expect the least. Let’s start our day preparing ourselves to be ready to be used by Him to overcome our challenges and bring glory to His name. We can also see another aspect of this passage that if we are fighting our battles with God's provisioning our enemies will automatically submit themselves to us but after their submission we have to make sure to fulfill our responsibility by taking them to right place, and when they arrive we must ask God to open their eyes to see His work and accept Him as their deliverer and redeemer.
