Great things doeth He, which we cannot comprehend.   Job 37:5

The LORD says “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”.

A beautiful story is told about an observer who noticed a leaf fall from a tree. Curious observer began asking why the leaf had fallen. When he enquired the leaf and tree, He was instructed to talk to an angel, the angel replied that under the fallen leaf lay a sleeping caterpillar. GOD in his kindness, had sent down the leaf from the tree to shield the caterpillar from the sun while it has slept. GOD takes everything into account when He makes decisions since He is unlimited by the barriers of space, time, intelligence and ability.

I have always connected with the idea of GOD being my Father. GOD created parent-child paradigm to serve as a basis for His relationship with His children. If we as parents, take care to give our children what they need, instead of what they want, surely we should accept that GOD our Father treats us in the same way. GOD’s works are perfect, crafted in His infinite wisdom. Just as a child may never fully comprehend a parents’ decisions, we might never fully understand the inherent wisdom in GOD’s decisions. We are the children who think the extra piece of candy is the greatest thing for us. GOD is the parent who knows it is not.

LORD! I love you! Thank you for being my Father for you know what I need. I commit this day into your hands, help me to know your great works in your kindness. In Jesus name. Amen!
