Let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. Exodus 25:8
The LORD says “ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of a house will you build for me or what is the place of my rest? Did not my hand make all these things?
When GOD commissioned the Israelites to build a sanctuary for him, He obviously wasn’t asking them for protection from the rain. He’s GOD. The tabernacle was important for its ability to teach the Israelites about their LORD. The Holy place and most Holy place declared GOD’s perfect holiness and purity. The tabernacle’s portable nature tells people that their GOD would always be with them no matter wherever they go.
Bible says “In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for GOD by the Spirit”. He who called you is Holy, you also be Holy in all your conduct. GOD is our dwelling place. He dwells amongst us. When we live in Him, He lives in us. He will make us to live with him forever in the eternity. Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith, that we being rooted and grounded in love.
LORD! I praise your Holy name for you are my dwelling place. Please make me your dwelling place and be my GOD. Help me to be Holy for you are Holy. Help me be rooted in love so that you may dwell in my heart.
