I will be with thee. Genesis 31:3
The LORD says “ I am the GOD of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and made a vow to me. Now arise, go out from this land and return to the land of your kindred and I will be with you.”
After Jacob came to Haran, he got married, working hard to acquire earthly assets, he got used to earthly blessings and became busy and comfortable in acquiring the same. He might have forgotten Bethel experience and GOD’s vision and promise to him when he was broken. Situations and people have become unfavorable to Jacob and GOD reminded him that He is GOD of Bethel, and Jacob’s vows to GOD when Jacob started his journey.
It is applicable to you and I this morning. If you are going through tough times, unfavorable situations for no reason, remember that it may be a season of testing your faith, stand firm for GOD is with you. Remember your Bethel experience, calling/vision from your GOD of Bethel and your vows to Him when you started your spiritual journey. Return to fulfill GOD’s promise for He is with you. GOD will not leave you until He is done with what He have promised you.
LORD! I love you and praise your glorious name. Surely you are with me wherever I went and you will be with me where ever I go. Help me to return from my own understanding and goals on this earth. Help me to fulfill your vision/ calling and your promise in my life and make me a blessing to many. In Jesus name. Amen!
