The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Fear not!!!!!

Fear not . . . I will help thee. Isa 41:14

“Fear not” is a very comforting word. We also use it many times in our conversations to the people around us. But, have we ever noticed if the person whom we have said “Fear not” being relieved of that fear? Very seldom, correct?

Today’s verse gives us a glimpse as to why this common phrase does not have any effect many times when we use it.

If we see the verse again, what follows after “Fear not”, gives us the answer. When the Lord says “Fear not”, he does not simply say that and leave it there. He says, “I will help thee”. Now that’s something that gives us courage.

Is it not true even with us in our daily life? When we say “Fear not” and do not help people to come out of that problem, those are mere good words which do not have any effect. If at all they have any effect, that would only be negative or at most neutral.

But when God says “I will help thee”, he means it to the last dot.

Let us call out to him for help today and not fear coz “He will help us”.
