“Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude for the battle is not yours, but God’s” – 2 Chr. 20:15
The other day when we were traveling, there was a heavy rain (multitude of raindrops) throughout our journey. During this time, not a single raindrop has fallen on us as we are protected in the Car. Even though the rain was pouring, windshield wipers were cleaning which makes us drive safely our destination.
Similarly, in 2 Chronicles 20, when Jehoshaphat came to know that a great multitude (Moabites, Ammonites, and Meunites) was coming, he was “afraid” and sought God. God gave today’s verse as a promise. Enemies were defeated and “no one had escaped”, at the same time “every man of Judah and Jerusalem returned”. As Car protected from rain, God has protected Israelites from a great multitude.
Let us “stand still” and “see the salvation of the Lord” in the midst of a rain of troubles, have a faith so that God will bring out of all “fears”, “afflictions” and “troubles”.
Have a FEARLESS day ahead.
