“Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of” – Mt. 6:8
We should be thankful to our earthly parents as they know what we need. From childhood until a certain age, they took care of all our needs, like education, food, shelter, clothes etc. without expecting in return. We cannot repay for what they have done. We should be thankful to our parents.
Similarly, today’s verse talks about our Heavenly Father, being as Jehova Jirah (God, the provider), who takes care of all of our needs. God is promising that, from childhood “even to your old age…I will carry and will save” (Isa 46:4). God knew our sinful situation, and He came down as our Savior (Jesus) and He offered Himself as a living sacrifice. Before even we ASK Him, He KNOWS our needs.
Let us be thankful to our Heavenly Father as He is our savior and provider.
Have a thankful day ahead.
