“Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” – Mt. 6:33
The other day, I came across one interesting news. A man purchased an old China bowl for $3 in a garage sale. But this bowl is of 1000 years old from the Northern Song Dynasty. After knowing this, the new owner puts for an auction in Sotheby’s Auction House and their pre-sale estimated value was approx. $200 K. But the bowl was finally purchased by a London dealer, Giuseppe Eskenazi, for $2.2 M.
We may also like the first owner who gives up far more valuables for something very cheap. In today’s verse, God is providing a very valuable conditional promise, “seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” and if we follow this rule, “all other things shall be added unto us”. God is asking us to put Him first more than worldly desires.
As God’s promises as “Yes” and “Amen”, let us put God first in our lives.
Have a blessed promise day ahead.
