“The LORD reigns, … He sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake” – Psa. 99:1
God is Holy and He dwells between the cherubim. In Psalm 99, Psalmist describes the throne of God and encourages us to exalt the Lord.
Great Throne (1-3) – Lord is great and high above all people. As He is great and powerful, the earth trembles.
Righteous Throne (4-5) – Our Lord loves the judgment and executes righteous judgment. Justice demands punishment for the sins we committed, however, wrath and mercy met at the CROSS, by thus he is providing us pardon.
Gracious Throne (6-9) – When we call upon His name, He answers us. Let’s come to the throne of grace boldly so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
This Sunday, let us come to the throne and worship at His footstool for He is holy.
