For the Son of Man is going to come.. and will then repay every man according to his deeds.

Emphasizing on the word "deeds / works", Apostle Paul mentions in 2 Corinthians 5:10: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” The Bible mentions about the works that are acceptable to God and also those which are not. Our reward that will be given to us demands our bearing fruit through the power of Holy Spirit. The works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit is mentioned in Galatians 5:19-23. The works of the flesh are actions which are rebellion against God's laws and the fruit of the spirit is the result of obedience to God. Either one of these poses our deeds – the way of this world or the way of the Lord.
Romans 2:6-10 mentions "To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger."
May the spirit of the Lord correct us and set our paths right and help us to to be found blameless in His sight.
