The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

What is worthy in your sight?

Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ”. Philippians 3:8.

Paul talked about dropping all confidence in his carnal privileges, and civil, ceremonial, and moral righteousness, for Christ and his righteousness. He lost his good name, credit, and reputation among men, and suffered afflictions and persecutions in various shapes; he gave up the comforts of his life, often stayed in cold and sometimes in nakedness. He suffered through hunger and thirst and was ready die for professing and preaching about Christ’s love. Paul knows the worth of being saved and knows his purpose of his life.

He had counted everything worthless in front of what he has received in Christ. He was chosen to preach the good news to others, and he took it seriously because, he knew how precious it is. He didn’t ask for comfort instead used everything he has and even he worked harder to serve; not to be a burden on people to support the purpose he was chosen for.

Paul beautifully served and showed us a way as to how we should serve Christ in a way and the ministry God has chosen us for. Today is the time for us to compare ourselves and see where we are. Are you ready to serve Him? Who has served us with His own? Are we doing justice to what we have been called for. It’s time for us to evaluate ourselves and make a confession and get to work we are chosen for.
