The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Heavenly Hallelujah’s

“For the Lord God Omnipotent Reigneth”. Rev 19:6

We see that all of heaven's voices unite to praise God because He is God and because He is on the throne.  “Omnipotent" means "all powerful."

We see the fourth “Hallelujah!” in the chapter and v6 gives the reason for it: “For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.” Lord (Yahweh) is praised because He reigns. When He reigns,  the governments of this world do not matter even if they are incompetent, biased and unqualified. No one can rebel, refuse or reject God’s authority during His reign.

God has been reigning on the throne of heaven, but a day will come where He will conquer the thrones of the earth as well as the kingdom of Satan. In His sovereignty, He has permitted evil human beings and evil angels to do their worst, but the time will come for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Hope for Today: As we are reminded of the Heavenly Hallelujah's, let us live with that confidence that our Lord reigns and no evil authority will prevail against us.
