The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

GOD is Faithful

"If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself." -2 Tim. 2:13

Today’s Verse:

Today’s verse is a part of one of 5 Paul’s Trustworthy statements. He encourages  Timothy by saying, those believers who struggle, or, are "faithless," are still held by God. He remains faithful, even when His people are not. This topic is consistent with God's faithfulness to His people Israel in the Old Testament. Though they often rejected Him, He continued to keep His promises to them.

It is a terrible thing when people who name the name of Jesus show themselves unfaithful. Many have been turned off from Jesus because of the hypocrisy of those who take His name. But all the faithlessness of man doesn’t disprove the faithfulness of God. “this unbelief of theirs will not make void his faith or faithfulness  (Romans 3:3 )

He cannot go contrary to his word. That would be to act contrary to his nature and perfections, and would be a denying of himself, which is not possible. Therefore, his faithfulness will never fail, even though, the faith of his people does, as to the exercise of it.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thanks for your mercy that you have given me this wonderful day. Father, You are always faithful to me. Your Word shows me time and again, that You are faithful. I confess, I am not faithful to You. I am prone to wander. Forgive me Father. Teach me what it means to be faithful to You and to Your Word. Give me steadiness as I follow You. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
