The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

In Christ Alone My Hope is Found

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” – Jeremiah 17:7

Prophet Jeremiah faithfully declares that surrender to God’s will is the only way to escape calamity. Either we trust in human beings or trust in the Lord. The people of Judah were trusting in false gods and military alliances instead of God and that is why they were barren and unfruitful. On the contrary, those who put their trust in the Lord will flourish like trees planted by the rivers of water (Psa. 1:3).

Trusting God should be an utmost priority for a believer not just when everything falls apart. Every creation will change but our creator is never changing God. It is better to trust The Creator than the creation.

Cursed is the man who trusts in man. But those who trust in the Lord will have abundant strength because they put their trust in the word of God, the living word which strengthens their heart and guides them in the right way. It’s not just for their own needs, but also for the needs of the others. Our heart should always be fixed on the Lord and never depart from the Lord.
