“Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek You.” – Psalm 9:10
All the people who thoroughly understand and duly consider the name of the Lord as Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace will truly trust in the LORD. In verse 9, David praises God because He is a stronghold and in verse 10 he says, His name is trustworthy. God alone is King and God alone can protect us from whatever we face. When we as believers know this truth about God, we should actively seek Him. Seeking the Lord means, focusing our mind’s attention and our heart’s affection on God. The psalmist also writes in Psalm 37:25; I have been young, and now am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread. The God who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
