Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Pro 3:5
Umpires, Referees or judges are often blamed to be partial. Partiality means, showing unfair bias or undeserved favor or likeness to one side compared to the other side.
After being born again, we still have 2 sides of the coin in our life. One side, we have the spirit of God and on the other side we have our flesh.
The dictionary meaning of leaning is : a tendency or partiality of a particular kind
Many times we also favor our flesh and our desires over the spirit in an unfair way. Today’s verse exhorts us not to lean unto our own understanding. Rather we should trust in the Lord wholeheartedly.
