Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ – 1 Cor. 11:1
Paul is urging the fellow believers who are less mature in their faith, to imitate him. He is not boasting in himself but ultimately in CHRIST whom he followed.
We often choose to imitate what pleases us and/or the persons we most admire. Instead, we must imitate CHRIST as he not only died as a sacrifice and also lived life as an example for us.
Being GOD’s children, let us imitate CHRIST by “obediently walking” in HIS footsteps and “bringing glory” to HIS name and also inspire others to follow CHRIST.
