…the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 6:23)
“Health is wealth” is a very famous phrase, which means, being healthy is more important than being rich. In order to maintain good health, we spend a lot of money. Even when we are sick, to get normal health, we spend a lot of money. In other words, people give uttermost value to their life.
Unfortunately, many people give more importance to temporary earthly life but least important to eternal life with God. Based on today’s verse, it is interesting to note that temporary life is costly to you, but eternal life is a free gift from God those who accept Jesus Christ as their savior. Whatever the costly punishment that we need to take, Jesus bore on the cross and made it free gift for us. Let us stop giving priority to temporary things, instead, let us give priority to things that add value to eternal life.
