In this world, there are many things which are counterfeit items (imitate fraudulently) like counterfeit currency, medicine, perfumes, and electronics, etc. It is very difficult to identify the true ones from counterfeits.
Bible talks about counterfeit items like false gods (Exodus 20:3), false prophets (Matthew 7:15), false Christs (Matthew 24:24), another gospel (Galatians 1:6), false teachers (2 Peter 2:1-2), and false apostles (2 Corinthians 11:13). We can observe that all counterfeit/false comes from Satan, who deceives the whole world (Revelation 12:9).
We also can observe true things come from God. Book of John says, Jesus is the true light (John 1:6), God is true (3:33), true bread (6:32), true witness (8:14), true judgment (8:16), true Shephard (10:1), the true vine (15:1), and true testimony (21:24). Jesus Christ entered into this world as true light, which lights every human being. As Jesus is true, let us continue to depend upon the truth, so that the truth will set us free from all spiritual counterfeits.
