“…You are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you…” Deuteronomy 14:2
God spoke to Moses on Mt. Sinai and gave him a vision and clear instructions to build a Tabernacle for His dwelling among the people. Once the construction was complete, God instructs Moses to anoint the Tabernacle and all that is in it, its furnishings, and consecrate it (set apart), to make them holy (Ex 40:9).
The God whom we serve is a Holy God, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. He has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light and has chosen us to be His own people. So, we are called to be set apart and holy, to glorify His name and not to be conformed to the pattern of this world!
