“So shall My word be which goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to Me void.” Isaiah 55:11
Israel was going through starvation as the Midianites were destroying their crops. When they cried out to God, He sent His word and promised Gideon to deliver them from their enemies. Even though Gideon had many questions, he still obeyed God, who asked him to go to the enemy camp and listen to their conversation. When Gideon heard them talking about a dream on his victory, he immediately bowed down and worshipped the Lord, even before the battle was won. The God who promised, fulfilled it in the due course of time and gave victory to Israel.
What promise of God are you holding onto? Does it seem impossible? Have you been waiting for it to be fulfilled? Today, as we come to the end of this month, God wants to remind us that He will fulfill His promise at the appointed time. While we’re waiting, let us worship Him for all that He’s going to do!
